Context

A slow page can involve the network, web server, application, database and external dependencies. Start by measuring where time is spent rather than changing every setting at once.

Compare representative requests and record the conditions under which they were made. Cache state, data size and concurrent activity can all change the result.

Inspect application and database behavior alongside server metrics. A busy CPU and a slow response may be related, but correlation alone does not identify the cause.

Change one meaningful factor at a time and measure again. Keep notes on the configuration and test method so the result can be understood and repeated.
