Service overview
Endpoint management needs policies that match real devices and the people supporting them. Clouvenix scopes Microsoft Intune work around device ownership, enrollment, configuration and application access. We review identity and licensing prerequisites, then pilot the selected management model with representative users. Configuration, compliance reporting and support procedures are accepted together so a device appearing in the console is not mistaken for a finished rollout.
When this service is useful
This service helps organizations establish or improve endpoint management through Microsoft Intune. It is useful when enrollment, configuration and application deployment vary across devices or nobody can explain why a policy is failing. We assess representative device types and user tasks, connecting security requirements to supportable enrollment, change testing and recovery procedures before applying a broad policy rollout.
Design and operating decisions
Enrollment and device ownership
The management approach depends on operating system, device ownership and identity arrangements. We map the supported enrollment paths and the permissions or preparation they require. Personal and corporate devices can have different expectations, so customer owners review the management boundary and user communication rather than treating every endpoint as an interchangeable configuration target.
Policy targeting and application delivery
Configuration, compliance and application assignments must be understandable by group and device. We review conflicts and prerequisites, then pilot representative settings and software. A successful deployment status needs user-level validation where relevant, especially for applications requiring sign-in, dependencies or business data before they can be considered usable.
Scope and deliverables
- Device ownership and enrollment-model assessment
- Configuration and compliance policy design
- Application deployment and update workflow
- Identity and access-policy coordination
- Pilot rollout and support runbooks
Delivery approach
1. Map devices and user journeys
Inventory platforms, ownership models, applications and existing management tools. Identify enrollment restrictions, required licenses and the people handling user support.
2. Pilot the configuration baseline
Enroll an approved device group and apply the selected policies and applications. Check sign-in, required business tasks and recovery or exception paths.
3. Plan controlled adoption
Record policy ownership, rollout waves and support diagnostics. Validate how an operator handles a failed enrollment, application installation or device-compliance exception.
Illustrative engagement
For example, a company could need a consistent setup for new corporate laptops while existing devices receive conflicting settings. A scoped pilot would define enrollment, baseline configuration and selected application assignments for representative users. The exercise includes a policy failure investigation and an agreed device recovery or re-enrollment path. Customer owners validate a normal workday task, providing practical evidence before the pattern is rolled out more widely. Hardware replacement and application repackaging remain separately identified work where required.
Acceptance evidence
| Area | Evidence reviewed |
|---|---|
| Enrollment | Representative devices join the intended management model and receive their expected assignment. |
| Business use | Pilot users complete the approved application workflow with the selected controls applied. |
| Support | The team can identify policy or installation failures and follow the documented exception procedure. |
Before we start
Provide tenant and device inventories, license details, application packages, identity dependencies and pilot participants. Personal-device privacy expectations and wipe authority must be agreed before enrollment.
Planning the scope
Effort depends on operating systems, device ownership models, enrollment state, application packaging and current identity policies. Legacy or unsupported devices can require a separate plan. Discovery distinguishes endpoint management from hardware procurement, broad application remediation and continuous help-desk service, agreeing representative devices, pilot users and the acceptance tasks needed to validate the proposed baseline.
Handover and ownership
Handover includes enrollment instructions, policy and assignment records, application dependencies and troubleshooting procedures. We identify who approves baseline changes and who handles user support. Customer operators practice investigation of an agreed enrollment or policy issue and receive the remaining device exceptions, licensing conditions and application limitations from the pilot before broader operational acceptance.
Ongoing operations
Endpoint management needs continuing policy review, application updates and attention to failed or inactive devices. New operating-system releases and business applications can change the tested baseline. We document change ownership and escalation, while ongoing endpoint administration, user assistance and incident coverage are agreed explicitly around the customer's device estate and working requirements after delivery.
Boundaries and support
Available controls vary by platform, enrollment mode and license. Device replacement, end-user helpdesk coverage and unrestricted remote actions are not automatically included.
Frequently asked questions
Can you manage personal and company devices?
We assess their different ownership and privacy requirements, then define the supported enrollment and policy model for each approved group.
Will policies affect access to Microsoft 365?
Device signals may interact with identity access policies. We review those dependencies and validate pilot sign-in behavior before extending enforcement.
Does this include automatic software installation?
Supported application delivery can be included, with packaging, assignment, detection and failure handling reviewed for the selected applications and device platforms.
